Wound Care Advanced Practice Provider
Scope of Practice
Scope of practice include, but are not limited to the following:

Demonstrate a dedication to the highest standards in wound care, essential in the development of a comprehensive wound management program.

Work with a specialized wound care team (including certified RNs, and physicians) to promote wound healing in the inpatient and outpatient setting.

Perform comprehensive and problem focused history and physical exams.

Evaluate and treat a wide variety of acute and chronic wound including but not limited to; diabetic, vascular, pressure and surgical wounds.

Interpret and correlate subjective and objective data to formulate a differential diagnose and establish a working diagnosis for whole patient care.

Identify wound deterioration and need for potential surgical intervention

Demonstrate knowledge and hand-on skills in sharp debridement, and alternative treatment modalities.

Be able to Identify wound deterioration and need for potential surgical intervention

Access to clinically advanced wound healing interventions, including hyperbaric oxygen treatments

Develop meaningful healthcare relationships with your patients to Improve the quality of wound care for your patients and promote long-term health and healing
